The one I adore the most, helps me in hunting, as I am a man of Odin
This picture and the above written takes inspiration from several historical sources, the runes come from several items of the Vindelev hoard, mainly the bracteate that mentions Odin by name. The warrior here I've depicted as someone who has devoted his life to the god Odin and he with the little runes he has to engrave he decides to write good things about his god, instead of focusing all what he has had to sacrifice. His shield is inspired by several viking age helmet plates, where the shields show 3 dots on one side of the pommel and one the the opposing side. His horse is imbued by Odins horse Sleipnir, who has 8 legs, making his steed charge as fast. And on this piece he is heading into battle as he chants what is written on the runes
