The story & symbolism
The wolves Geri and Freki belong to the god Odin and they symbolize greed and avarice. The god Odin possesses also two ravens Huginn and Muninn which symbolize thought and memory - so this is an aspect of Odin that his characteristics are sometimes symbolized as animals. The reason wolves and ravens are associated with Odin is because he was the god of war and afterlife - and wolves and ravens both scavange battlefields. Amongst wolves and ravens Valkyries would come to battlefields to pick out honorable warriors that had fallen to bring to Odins halls or to the goddess Freya.
Here I've depicted them in knotwork style which is characteristic of the Viking age, the wolves are featured on the front and on the sleeves are warriors sailing through the way from the world of the living to the dead, with wolves hunting them there. It also symbolizes that once you pass, even when you bury yourselves with great riches, during the passage these riches don't matter - the wolve hunting you are greed and avarice and you must fight off them. Meaning that once we reach the other side we are all on the same level.

GERI & FREKI
On the front is as mentioned the wolves Geri & Freki with knotwork, symbolizing that they are close to your heart and lungs but they havent consumed you - so you have the ability to control them within you.
TRAVEL TO AFTERLIFE
On the sleeves are the travels to the afterlife by warriors being chased by these same wolves. To succeed they need to be able to fight them off and thus rid themselves of greed as well.
The story & symbolism
The word Erilaz / Erilar appears again and again in inscriptions. It usually comes along with "I, Erilaz, have carved these runes…" so that leads us to believe that it had something to do with proficency in writing the runes or carving them. Perhaps it also carried some magical connotations, as someone who could write and read would be pretty magical during those times, as runes were used for spells and such. How I've thought about it, is if you imagine writing runes to something like being able to code nowadays - writing a bunch of words and having a machine do something is pretty magical imo.
So this design is for those who also are familiar with this title and would like a more subtle way of hinting at their knowledge, this is part of my smart-casual collection so it is not as screamingly RAA I R VIKING but if you wear this out and others who know about this will understand the refence and that could be a great conversation starter!

ERILAZ
The title Erilaz is written in elder futhark again and again on the design, you can think of it as a visual chant of this magical profession, title or name
