The story & symbolism
I tried to get a chaotic, otherwordly and sinister feel to this symbol as fate and life are mysterious to us, something that cannot be explained with words and our mind cannot process them. Often we question the existence or meaning of the events that happen around us, it's a stormy sea - when we think we've mastered the waves life reminds us of how little we are
The O is tied in with the Web of Wyrd and contains the Aegishjalmur branches which are to invoke a lot of different emotions in the viewer at the sight of their fate - awe, excitement, uncertainty, curiosity, fear
The sunwheel is as if it were wearing a spiked crown, to symbolize that even something as positive as the sun has a darker, evil side. The nine circles around the sun are the nine worlds, to mean that the same sun shines in all the worlds and no matter who you are or where you are hiding - the sun, a symbol for life here, can see and reach you
The symbol has four mountains to the sides of it, two facing up and two facing down to put emphasis on the fact that life and fate have their ups and downs. The symbol is actually meant to have the sigil you see in my display picture inside it - starting at the crown of the sun and ending at the bottom where the final N is. The symbol itself is a combination of V and ẖ mirrored (from ValHyr) kinda like a bindrune and the three stripes are supposed to represent the Norns. At the bottom lines from the left are winding up towards the right like past to present which is the largest to the future which is smaller again because we don't know what it holds
So the whole point of this symbol is a reminder of how insignificant we are in the face of life, nature and fate - but at the same time how we possess this huge amount of power in ourselves, to alter what we put out to life and what she receives from us. If we change how we react to situations and don't let pride or anger overcome us then we control what fate has in store for us, we don't know what they bring and it might not always be pretty - but if we welcome whatever comes with open arms and deal with it, we will prevail
Life is chaos but chaos is beauty
