Brewer of waves, hear my plea,
To your daughters nine, I draw this key,
Guard and guide me through the sea,
From the grasps of the cruel, set me free,
Amidst the storms help me see,
Lead me home, where I long to be.
A traveler lost at sea, uttering a galdr chant to the god Aegir - begging to be lead to land and unshackled from Ran's ropes, which here I've depicted as seaweed around his feet. Holding close to him a piece of wood with the Vegvisir carved into it by his wife, so he would always return home. His thoughts focusing on the symbol and it protecting him from harm I've depicted with the Vegvisir behind him, hugging him with two of its branches.
