The story & symbolism
Kihnu is an island in Estonia and they are known for weaving a lot of beautiful patterns. This is one of their most notable ones and women would stay up together late to weave, known as 'ülalistmine'. The island of Kihnu and its cultural heritage is ran by women, as men would be out on the sea - so the women would be in judge of the household, organising games, dances, music, art etc.
On the island there are also Rune songs, known as runolaul - which are the main way that Kalevala was written down. So this design is to spread knowledge of this wonderful place and to show my appreciation.

KIHNU PATTERN
This is the Kihnu pattern, I've also made it so that it appears knitted - the actual hoodie is made of cotton with the design painted on top of it. But since the island is known for their intricate knitting, then I've also made the design represent that.

Items are measured by being laid flat on the ground, not by circumference. If you have any items that fit you well, lay them on the ground and measure them to get the best fit
