The story & symbolism
The bear was a deeply revered creature among the ancient peoples of the North, symbolizing raw, primal power and an untamed spirit. Here I've depicted that the animal is not merely a dweller of the forest, but a living embodiment of the woods themselves. Interlacing roots and swirling vines weave together to form its shape with a traditional knotwork inspired flow. Radiating from its crown the towering pine trees double as rune staves and the whole piece is a reminder that our most formidable inner strength is drawn directly from the quiet, enduring resilience of the wild.
