The story & symbolism
The god associated with justice, bravery and war. The Tyr's amulet features elements from his lore, archaeological finds and personality - I tried to make him look brave and warlike but in a tactical way rather than being very bulky and strong-looking. Made from bronze and as with all my male deities he can be worn by the neck.
Helmet with chainmail
I've made him with the helmet that is often associated with vikings, even though not many of these have been found. The bottom part features chainmail instead of a beard.
Missing arm and his armor
He can be seen wearing fancier clothing to indicate him in a leader role and the missing arm is from the story where he sacrifices his arm to Fenrir when the gods try to bind the wolf and Tyr is the only one brave enough to put his hand in the wolfs jaws.
Bird motive and neckhole
Tyr can be found on bracteates often depicted with birds, I've made his head incorporate the same birds. I'll list the bracteate influences down below.
T rune and swordhandle maybe?
On his back you can see the T rune in the center with two sides of H shaped items with circles on their end - this was an inspiration from a bracteate that I've listed below. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but considering that another bractaete of him has a sword in his hand then perhaps it's a swords handle.
Bracteates
These are the bracteates that I've been inspired by the most
