The story & symbolism
Shaped like a Vendel-era helmet, this pendant reflects the dual nature of humanity,rulers of the moment, yet children of the soil. Forged in honor of those who rose in strength, only to return to earth, it reminds us: we are nature’s creation, and to nature we return. This specific helmet was inspired by one of my artworks, representing the duality of man vs nature in the shape of an ancient helmet covered in oak leaves, and the viking/vendel helmets that we have found till today.

Some examples of helmets we have found from the Vendel era, which was a brief period in northern europes history - named after the finds from Vendel, Sweden. The predecessor to the Viking age and part of the broader Northern Iron Age.
