Wear mythology wherever you go. The Runeword Cloak brings together runic inscriptions and figures inspired by three archaeological finds: the Golden Horns of Gallehus, the Kragehul spearshaft and the Lindholm amulet. Their marks become contrasting bands of artwork you can wrap around yourself.
Three finds. One design.
The Golden Horns of Gallehus inspire the bands of animals and human figures. Made around AD 400, the horns carried richly detailed imagery; the shorter horn also bore a runic inscription. The originals were stolen and melted down in 1802, leaving drawings to preserve their appearance.
The Kragehul spearshaft and Lindholm amulet inspire the runic bands. In Valhyr’s Runeword design, these inscriptions sit alongside the Gallehus figures as a reminder of the voices, beliefs and stories that survive through objects.
The precise meanings of some ancient symbols remain open to interpretation. Runeword celebrates that curiosity: a modern design inspired by historical finds, with details to discover every time you wear it.
