The story & symbolism
Inspired by a Viking artifact discovered in Dublin, this version I've interpreted as the spirit of Fenrir,the mighty wolf of Norse myth, feared by gods and destined to break his chains. Though a creature of legend and chaos, Fenrir also represents raw strength, inner power, and the will to overcome. Here it represents him playing with the sun, as is foretold that he will swallow it. We cannot be 100% sure what the original creator meant with this, maybe it was just a pendant for his dog who he loved dearly and had a reminder made of. So a way to see this pendant is as a perfect gift for any dog loving person that has viking tendencies.
DUBLIN FENRIR
The original was found at Fishamble Street in Dublin and is believed to have been created around the year 1000 ad when the area had a lot of connections with the Viking world. It was made from wood and was slightly larger at about 5 cm in diameter.
