The story & symbolism
This item is in the Erilaz category. The word inscribed in many rune engravings. Likely a title of the carver, the meaning is associated with the word earl as well as ale, which makes sense since ale was considered sacred by many people along with slavic, germanic and old norse cultures, take for example the mead of poetry. The word was written along with other symbols or writings, assigning the knowledge and right to carve runes to the author. These hoodies, shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel items are inspired by the Viking age runestones and the superstitious past of our ancestors. The designs in Erilaz feature runes, petroglyphs, magical symbols and sacred geometry so you could wear your path to knowledge and spirituality.

On this design there are various symbols that depict the sun - known as solar crosses or sunwheels. The symbols run throughout the design as a row while the other row features an Oseberg styled wolf on it which is supposed to symbolize Hati chasing the sun. It's an old tale where two wolves are described to chase the moon and the sun, it's unclear which chases which as the wolves are described to chase the "glowing priest" and the "brightest bride of the skies" but based on the gender of the sun and moon it's likely that the bride is a reference to the sun.History & Myhtology inspired apparel, jewelry and artwork.
