Mjölnir is the hammer of the god Thor from Norse Mythology. The ancient tales have their own folklore, mythology, their own rules and events - everything that contributes to the wider picture, but only after being experienced on an individual level first. From there it can be shared in a group, as gatherings, events and celebrations. But first and foremost it is very individual to you, there are many gods to turn to, even many entities if you're more animistic - only you can shape your path. This reaches way before the viking age, back to the stone age and perhaps even further.Archaeological artefacts tell us of spiritual practices for as long as human beings have existed . Little bone and amber hammer amulets have been found in stone age graves throughout Scandinavia. And nowadays new creative crafty artisans are creating new hammer amulets. So this Mjölnir represents the timelessness of this 'culture' or 'religion' or whatever you want to call it. This collective turn to nature and what is natural to us as humans, not abiding by man-made rules how one can experience something divine or a framework of how to be religious. You make your own path and nature and rawness is just as beautiful as any ornaments.
