Product Information
Exclusive item for yule 2023 which ended on Dec 31st 2023 and in total 54 of these were claimed
The story & symbolism
A limited time Wild Hunt Odin figure to celebrate Yule 2023!This version will only last until December 31st 2023, just like last years special Yule Odin. In addition to that, these will be casted only during winter solstice, which happens December 22. After the casting is done I will do all the extra working like cutting, filing, patina etc and then they will be sent out asap! You have the ability to lock yours in until then, I will be casting a couple extra cause castings dont always turn out perfect - so to make sure everyone gets a good quality one there will be a couple extras. If I have any additional left they can be bought until December 31, otherwise I'll lock this listing after the pouring.
Face
Based on the original Odin amulet that I've created. This one features a longer beard due to the winter season and a long beard being attributed to Odin. Also his ravens are more festive and he is wearing a hood, for when he travels from home to home during winter then he wouldnt be instantly recognised
Neck hole
The amulet can be worn also, either by the horns or by the neck. The reference that Odin can be worn by the neck is to pay homage to the tale where he hangs himself from a windy tree for 9 nights in order to learn the runes. Wearing the amulets by the neck is something I've incorporate on all males whereas females are worn by the braid, which is also inspired by an archaeological find of a shieldmaiden.
Dual spears
Odin and his speardancers are often represented wearing dual spears. This is why in this depiciton, which is a more ceremonial and warlike theme for him, I've gone with the dual spears.
Wild hunt
On his back is petroglyphs of animals and Odin with his wolves as symbolism of the Wild Hunt. They are shrouded by his cloak which resembles the northern lights.
