The story & symbolism
The golden haired goddess and the wife of Thor and mother of Ullr and Thrud. She had her hair cut by Loki which resulted in the gods receiving their magical objects which included a golden headpiece for Sif. It's believed she is strongly associated with earth and crops, as her hair is a reference to a wheat field.
The golden headpiece
Depicted with the golden headpiece that she received from the dwarves. I made her have a confident stance and facial expression as well as a necklace inspired by similar finds from Sweden as she is a prominant and important figure in Norse mythology.
Resting on a wheel
Due to her connectin to wheat fields and likely fertility and agriculture as well as her husband being Thor I've depicted her resting her hands on a cartwheel. Considering Thor is mentioned as 'the husband of Sif' I believe shows that she was not a basic b and could hold her own.
Hair on a loop
Her hair is seen attached with a loop or ring, as her long hair was cut and this seems like a logical way to keep it still long, as I believe back in those days hair extensions werent a thing yet.
Worn by the braid
As with all of my goddess amulets she is worn by the braid as inspired by a woman warrior figure. But she can also be used as an altar piece.
