The story & symbolism
The ruler of the realm with a same name - Hel. According to sources a grim and unpleasant being with little to no feelings and the child of Loki and Angrboða. Her face is said to be half pale and half black (or dark blue). She can be worn by the braid as all female pendants that I make.
Half visible half hidden
Her face has many interpretations, the most common one being that she is half alive half dead. I've thought it to always mean half visible half hidden as her name likely means 'hidden', so I've done half of her face to be visible and the other half hidden.
Drowning man
She can be seen holding a human by the feet in the water. This is a reference to the realm of Hel where there is a shore of corpses and she is ruling over that underworld. It's also to symbolize his power over life and death that is referenced to in Baldr's story where the gods ask Hel to release Baldr but she refuses. It is also a reference to a bracteate and earlier (suspected) stories on Hel having a sceptre - thus the human is in a definite sceptre like shape.
Tunic and braid hole
To symbolzie the common folk I've included her with a tunic with a hood. She can be worn by the braid of the hood.
Spiral cape
The spirals symbolize waves that carry the ships in the underworld but also magic and flow.
