The story & symbolism
This is a limited time amulet to celebrate 5 years of Valhyr.com! It will last until the 1st of December of 2024 and after that will never be sold again.

The name Algingautr means "Ancient Gaut" a tribe who is more known nowadays with the name Götar, and where the areas of (Väster & Öster) Götaland in Sweden get their name from. The people of Götaland have been said to worship Odin heavily, with places like Gudhem said to have ancient pagan temples with over 120 statues dedicated to the Norse Pantheon. The amulet serves as a tribute to these ancient people and has been heavily inspired by the nordic bronze age with elements from the nordic iron age (Viking age).
Headdress
The headdress features the two ravens of Odin with a bronzeage like touch to them. The helmet itself is inspired by helmets with a chainmail face guard from the Vendel era found in Valsgärde, these too feature animals on the top of the helmet.
Bronze age symbols
On his chest he is holding a ship that is inspired by petroglyphs from Scandinavia. Above it are 9 dots, which is a sacred number in Norse Mythology and also the number of days and nights that Odin hung from the tree Yggdrasil to gain knowledge of the runes. Below the ship is a symbol for the sun, also found on petroglyphs.
Neck hole for wearing
Like all the male gods I've done he is worn by the neck. This is also a reference to how Odin hung himself by the neck from the world tree.
