The story & symbolism
The goddess responsible for the fate of those who fall on the sea. Her hair here is depicted as stormy waves with petroglyph inspired ships caught in it, leading them downwards to the bottom of the sea. Her cover is a net with some seaweed in it, which she catches the ships with and her face paint on the cheeks represents lines of people upside down and the gap is the distance between the realm of the living and the underworld.
