The story & symbolism
The boar is a symbol of unmatched ferocity often associated with the legendary golden bristles of Gullinbursti. Here I've tried to make so that the boars design captures both the martial prowess and the spiritual beliefs of the old North. The distinct triangular silhouette, anchored by two prominent lower tusks, directly mirrors the svinfylking - the formidable "boar snout" battle formation designed to shatter enemy lines, taught to humans by none other than Odin. Along its crest, a ridge of spikes stands like the storied crews carved into ancient petroglyph ships, representing a steadfast, unified front of warriors. At the heart of the knotwork lies a sun motif to honor the mythological golden beast, casting these bristling troops as radiant beams of light that pierce through the darkness of war.
