The story & symbolism
Aegir is the god of the vast sea, brewing, the depths of the oceans, hospitality and bounty. He has his halls at the seafloor and the foam on the beaches comes from him brewing mead. He is kind enough to host parties for the gods and for humans alike. Reach out to Aegir when you need to weather life's storms, he can be helpful in reaching a conclusion amidst stressful and hectic periods. He is also wise enough to help you with business endeavours, always reminding you to not become greedy and to think of things in the long term just like the sea is wide and reaches far. So turn to him when you want to venture out from your life, he is a guide on travels. As he is a god of plenty therefore he has more to offer than maybe other gods, as he can also help you in sea travels, fishing and watersports like swimming, surfing, etc - as the sea is his home he excels at anything related to water. Therefore also keep him near water sources, or give him offerings of nature's water - be it rainfall, river water, or such. To your home he brings a joyful environment to your home and welcomes all kinds of guests and makes you host great parties. He could also be of help when you want to celebrate someone, some event or an achievement of someone. He will even open you up to meeting new people in life, so if you're introverted be ready to get out of your comfort zone a little bit - but for the betterment of yourself of course!
HEAD DETAILS
He is wearing a coral crown with his hair representing turbulent spiral currents. His face is inspired by different water animals like walruses and seals with his eyebrows being the waves clashing against fjords.
BODY DETAILS
He is holding a ship of seafaring people, saving them from the waves which are represented as Aegir and Rans nine daughters right beneath them. At the very bottom is a net, symbolizing the depth of the sea, once you've gone too deep there is no coming up again.
BACK DETAILS
On his back he wears the stormy sea as a cloak. Inbetween the cloak is embedded his nine daughters again. His hair turns into typhoons and vortexes, symbolizing how he is a helpful god but the sea can be dangerous and should be treaded with care.
