The story & symbolism
Inspired by the fierce figure on the Torslunda plates found on the island of Öland, this amulet depicts a Ulfhedinn, a type of berserker,a warrior of Odin, cloaked in the strength of the beast. With wild eyes and battle-trance, the ulfhedinn was both feared and revered, standing at the threshold between man and spirit. In their wild fury they became immune to even fire and iron, not a single thing could cause them any fear. Whether used in ritual or as a sacred decoration, this statue channels primal energy, protection, and inner fire. A powerful presence for your space, guiding courage, focus, and transformation in every challenge you face. The Ulfhedinn brings a powerful presence,a quiet tension between ferocity and purpose. It evokes inner strength, fearlessness, and the wild courage needed to face life’s personal battles. A grounding force for those who seek bravery not just in war, but in everyday trials of the heart and spirit - but it requires an extraordinary person to master. Pay attention to signs and events around you, as it can be a very wild spirit to tame. There is a reason that during the viking age those who possessed the spirit of the wolf were banished from society and why later the tradition was forbidden.

HEAD
Wearing the pelt of a wolf, the head represents the trance state the wearer is in. The eyes are black, almost lifeless, but this is not a blind rage of fury - but a concentrated and elevated state of mind. The reflexes and reaction times are heightened of the Ulfhedinn to face his foes with all of his abilities.

PREPARED
He is seen holding a spear in one hand and gripping the swords hilt with his other hand. This is also featured on the Torslunda plate of the Ulfhedinn, where he is shown ready for anything. The same mentioned heightened of senses, ready to strike with the appropriate weapon - ready to use the correct tool for the job at hand.

WOLF PELT
As they were wearing wolf pelts on them, here it is also depicted handing down from his back. Underneath the pelt is a pattern I mostly use for fur and so, we don’t know for sure if the Ulfhedinn fought in only animal pelts or if they had other armor underneath, so for stylistic purposes I've depicted him wearing a bit more.
