The story & symbolism
Njörd is a well attested figure in Norse Mythology. He is the father of Freyr and Freya, the husband of Skadi, a future survivor of Ragnarök, owner of many temples and much much more. He is associated mainly with the sea, fishing and worship. There is even late surviving evidence of Njörds worship in Norway, where people would sacrifice to him and thank him during plentiful fishing trips. Turn to Njörd when you need help with financial matters, success in business, achieving great deals, fishing, prosperity and travels. He loves being near seagulls, storks or cranes. So if these birds are not native to where you live, play him sounds of these birds to keep him happy. He also enjoys the sound of water so he is best kept near water sources. In your home he will bring abundance, riches, great choices and decision making as well as make your home a cozy shiplike environment. It will be a happy and livid place but not in a pub kindof sense, but instead offering more solitude and friendship from birds and nature itself.

WATERFALL BEARD
Due to his association with water and mainly the shore, I've depicted his beard as a waterfall. On the back in black details (hard to see on the picture) are also swirls to symbolize the waves and foam caused by them.

HUSBAND OF SKADI
Skadi choses Njörd as his husband after her father is killed. She does this by being only able to see the toes of several gods, she thinks she is picking Baldr based on the pretty toes but instead it is Njörd. I've also added this little detail to the amulet as I feel it is important to his lore.

GOD OF CHARIOTS AND NINE DAUGHTERS
Njörd is said to be the god of chariots, that there is such a kenning for him. He is also said to be the father of nine daughters, the same is said for Aegir and Ran and it's widely agreed upon that nine daughters means waves, perhaps there is more to this nine daughters story but that we have lost to time now sadly. I've depicted a chariot on the bottom of his attire as well as nine heads decorating the coat he is wearing.

FRIEND OF SAILORS
Because he was worshipped as late as the 19th century as well as one of the earliest gods we have evidence of worship for, I've depicted his back as nooses. These symbolize lures and hooks that ships can hold onto, meaning he holds on to ships so the crews dont drown or go missing on the sea as well as aiding with fishing.
