The story & symbolism
A radiating depiction of him symbolizing the powers of the sun. I've gone for the moment when he starts seeing the haunting dreams
The top part of the eyeguards features two horses as a reference to the horses pulling the sun. On the forehead is a symbol for Baldrs sun itself, I don't know if such a symbol exists with another meaning but I created it for this piece here, I'll post a better version of it tomorrow
Around him are the leaves of mistletoes and the whole radiating rays around him are also to symbolize the chamomile/mayweed flower as it's called Baldr's brow
On him are carved runes in reference to Sigrdrífumál, which says runes are carved on several things associated with the sun. The runes around the eyes say dream and to appear in a dream while the ones in the beard read "forwards seeing" on the upper parts and lower parts talk about seeing the fates and unable to see his own and the middle part read that neither in life or death man is little or man knows little, a twist around the Oseberg ship oar engraving but more aimed at Baldr as he knows almost all except his own faith. I think i shouldve gone for litilui and ansuz rune but i wanted to have it similar to the oseberg one where there is a variation of the mannaz rune
