Because metal is somewhat of a living being, it reacts with the environment - so over time it can get darker, or grow different colors on it, thats called a patina. So if you want it to look like it does on the pictures here, just give it a rub with the brush
But if you really like petting your statue its okay too, you can just reapply the wax - if yours has become darker, reach out to support@valhyr.com for guidance on obtaining the same wax we use

Thank you everyone for the kind words! And yes candleholders, statues, amulets can all be left outside, they can handle pretty much any weather :) Candleholders and statues might break if you throw heavy rocks at them though, but they should be rather durable – I will add that to product descriptions too :)
I have purchased one of the bowl statues. Can they be safely placed outdoors? Are they.sturdy enough to handle weather?

Love the quality of my Vidar necklace, also like the choice of string you chose. It was also a bonus that the card thay came with it contained seeds that I planted in the ground outside. Overall I say this is Superb Quality.
